Delighted about Ideas June 2008  But why does ABC MD Mark Scott frequently refer to Australia's great information and cultural institution as a 'brand'. Don Watson, please ring Mark and say "Crikey, Mate, Whatyaonabout, Going Forward?" The ABC Towards 2020 Friends of the ABC is delighted that the ABC has released an ideas paper to promote debate and discussion about the vital role of public broadcasting in the digital media age. Where's the $48.1 million? May 2008  May Budget leaves the ABC Bereft. The new Labor Government’s first budget contained no concrete steps to rebuild the ABC from past ravages.
